Calibre not reading devices (Samsung Galaxy Note II and Asus Transformer Prime)
Hi,
I was using Calibre with my Asus Transformer Prime to wirelessly send books to it with no issues. I recently upgraded Calibre and now it doesn't seem to be seeing either my Transformer or my Samsung Galaxy Note II. Please help. What are drives F: and G:? Whatever they are Windows is not seeing them properly by the looks of it. Have you tried rebooting your system?

Yes, I did reboot and it was no help. I don't seem to have an F and G drive on my PC (at least, not that is visible from My Computer). There is an external I drive, but that is it.

I don't understand what you mean by a cable. I have CC installed on my devices and Calibre installed on my PC. I start a wireless connection and try to send the books from calibre to my devices wirelessly, but it doesn't work and I cannot figure out why (when my Asus used to get books wirelessly before I upgraded to the newest version of Calibre).

Try going through the steps in CC's FAQ "Calibre Companion won’t connect to calibre. What do I do?" Note that if CC could connect and has stopped, it is highly likely that something other than calibre and CC is getting in the way. My first suspicion is always the antivirus software. Have you installed or updated your AV since CC worked? Second would be a change to the computer running calibre. Have you changed or upgraded the OS? The hardware? Third would be the home network. If you entered an IP address into CC for the computer running calibre then that IP address might have changed, especially if the computer running calibre had been off for a day or so. In this case reset CC to use automatic connections (in CC's settings) and go through the steps in the FAQ mentioned above. |
