any video on ereader?

I can't find any video or demo about the ereader on kindle fire. not one demo was shown during the apple announcement. i'm considering getting the fire for viewing book covers in colors and PDFs. I dont own an ipad, so I'm not sure if reading on a LCD screen is any better than e-ink.

It's going to be just like the Android Kindle app, but bigger. Count on it.
