How to export calibre metadata to kindle?
I have a lot of downloaded and misformatted books on my kindle. After uploading to Calibre I decided to experiment with the metadata editor and to my surprise it was rather simple to download and correct all the metadata. This makes surveying my library a breeze but it did not correct the metadata on my kindle. And since the libraries are not considered identical I cannot upload/save my annotations.

Is it possible to match these properly titled and metadata'd books to the identical book files on my kindle? Is there a way to do that?

As it stands right now, calibre does not recognize that they're the same books because they have different metadata.

Delete and resend the books, and they will be uploaded with the corrected metadata.

Is there a way to get annotations synced with the resent books? That's my main problem here.

As long as the new books have the same filename they will match up.
