BBC and BBC (fast) to MOBI no longer work
The conversions of the BBC and BBC, however I am sorry but I cannot tell if they stopped working with one particular upgrade to Calibre. And just this week, Amazon sent me a brand new $80 Kindle with its latest software revision on a warantee claim for my old Kindle that broke. The syntax for the "recipies" is way behond my pay grade (I am an editor) but I did try some systematic experimentation. I found that the conversion of the BBC feed to EPUB worked fine. But If I tried to convert the resulting EPUB to MOBI in Calibre, that conversion failed too. However, when I saved the EPUB file as a plain-text file, Calibre converted that text file to MOBI perfectly. However all the very usefull paging that I used to get back when the conversions worked was, of course, missing.
