Bug in Mac version
When adding books if you get the dialog box showing possibly duplicate additions the cursor pointer is initially a pointer. If you then click off one of the ticks the cursor changes to a segmented black and white circular ball. Surely it should remain a pointer?
Running the latest version of Calibre and Sierra osX. |

I cannot replicate this on my mac, unchecking/checking items in the list has no effect ont he mouse cursor. Is it only the cursor changing or does it have some other effects as well? Can you still click OK?

I can still click more ticks on and off and click OK or Cancel etc. I will add some duplicates and do a screen cast and post a link. It is more of an annoyance and does not affect functionality.

I finally got around to getting some screenshots of this bug.
The first shows the cursor in the duplicates window where it is a round black and white sphere. The second shows the cursor changes back to an arrow as soon as it is moved out of the duplicates window. Or both on Google Photos https://goo.gl/photos/a6oU55vmubZJYpfs9 |

Since this is likely Qt related and calibre 3.0 contains an updated version of Qt, I suggest trying it with that.

Thanks will do.
I have tried v3 and still exactly the same change to the cursor in the Duplicates window. Last edited by Valkrider; 06-16-2017 at 02:57 AM. |

Hmm, I'm at a loss, without being able to replicate it, there's not much I can do about fixing it. Since it doesn't affect any actual functionality I'm just going to table it for now...

The latest update of Calibre V4.7.0 fixes this ancient problem on my iMac up until this update the problem still existed. Thanks Kovid.
