Just watched it and liked it a lot. would prefer Bosch not smoke. In spite of the fact I read all the books, cannot recall if he smoked.

Anyway, very good and hope it becomes a series.

As I expected, this didn't work when I tried to view it on my TV via LoveFilm. They state quite clearly that "A membership to LOVEFiLM is not needed to watch the pilot episode." But when I tried to do that, it insisted that I log into my LoveFilm account, which I haven't got and don't want.

He did smoke in the books. I believe he might have quit (or tried to) around book 4 or 5?

He smoked heavily in the first few books but quit about book 5 or 6 I think. There's bits in there about him quitting.

Good news. I watched the pilot and liked it.

@dynabook: If it follows the usual Amazon methodology, it will be free for Prime members, but available for sale to others. But only time will tell - no announcements have been made yet other than it has been picked up.
