The starting point was a typically erratic Google Books scan, but there was also an excellent page image PDF file to check against. No acceptable cover was available so I made one. The map image on the cover shows the "proposed" Panama Canal, which dates it before 1904, when the Americans took over, and possibly before 1881, when the French started the project.
