Question [Help] How to stop books "snapping" to new chapters when reading in "flow" mode?

If you're reading in the continuous "flow" mode, then the borders between pages are removed and you read the book as if it's one huge continuous page.

However, I notice that it does not continue to flow when a new chapter or section is started. It kind of "snaps" to the new chapter instead which feels very disruptive.

Is there a way to stop this and enable the flow mode to work for the entire book?

Thanks

No. This is the expected behavior, and I don't think anyone expected someone to dislike it.

*Maybe* Kovid could add an option, let's wait for him to respond.

Well, it's expected behaviour in many Android PDF Readers as well (the page/chapter resets to the top of the screen), and I am one of the people who dislike it. On a scrolling device such as a tablet (or a website or whatever) I prefer to scroll the page, and keep reading in the middle 1/3rd part of the screen (or window).

In my case, it's just the way I read, especially on bigger screens where I focus on one part of the screen at a time, due to my poor eyesight not allowing me to focus on the entire screen at once.

Respectfully, I'm not sure why anyone *would* like it, especially if they've chosen to enter flow mode. Clearly they prefer to read without page breaks, so why not without chapter breaks too?

Having the whole page jump unexpectedly to the top of the screen is really taxing on the eye and not conducive to relaxed reading (in my opinion).

Microsoft Word has an option to toggle this kind of behavior - but right now I can't remember what it's called!

Because there are no "page breaks" either way, but chapter breaks are a fundamental contextual switch?

In Word 2010 at least, Views->Document Views has five choices Page Layout, Full Screen Reading, Web Layout, Outline, and Draft. Interestingly the only one of the five that doesn't flow-as-you-go, i.e. it snaps between pages, is Full Screen Reading.
