Firmware Update Update 2.5.3 for Kindle2i

Someone on Amazon Kindle's wall on Facebook just said they got 2.5.5 last night (no mention of where they got it). Anyone else know about 2.5.5?

Said person just recanted the 2.5.5 update.

Asjogren, would you be willing to post step-by-step instructions for how you are able to download from the library, including how you found and registered your Kindle PID?

I've seen bits and pieces of these types of information posted, but never complete instructions, so it's hard for some of us to piece together an actual working procedure.

If you would do this, I know many newer Kindle users would be most grateful.
