Most important new feature to add poll
Except for color....I would say higher contrast screen. touch would be nice but the core functionality is more important.

I have around 1,000 files and really want a way to manage all these files. My vote goes to folders/tags. (Expanded file support, i.e. ePub, is a close second.)

Touchscreen and extended file support (EPUB, ideally with Adobe-DRM).

Folders. I still haven't found a need for ePub but it would be nice to have non-DRMed ePub support (to compliment my future Plastic Logic Que ).

Folders/tags first, expanded file support second.

That was a tough choice! The only feature on the list I don't care about is WiFi.

folders is probably the easiest feature to add on that list. if u thought forward...i think you'd be happier with a large color screen than folders. the reason being that if u had a color screen, u could easily add folders at any time. however, if u added folders....this would not mean they would have solved the technical challenges of a fast bright colorful screen.
there is an easy solution to the folder problem. just keep the bulk of the digital documents on your computer and transfer them to the device when needed to help organize them. alternatively, u can use the search feature on the kindle to find your documents. |

1. A software program to upload personal fonts (full unicode fonts for non-western alphabets).
2. A software to upload non-English voices for the text-to-speech gadget. 3. Card slot, to memorize more books and/or have different libraries. 4. Landscape and portrait. It has to be possible to switch between the two possible ways of reading the text. Just the first few not already mentioned in the list after a couple of days of use. My choice would be...reduce the amount of wasted real estate. I want my EBook reader to fit in my purse, and without the keyboard, K2 would fit nicely.

Wow I just choose one? I really would like to lend books to my friends. I don't mind DRM as long as I get the SAME rights as a paper book gave me, and that's a right that's missing. I want to finish a book and lend it to my mother who I bought a Kindle for.
But really touchscreen and extended file support would be the next two. Touchscreen could reshape the Kindle interface, remove those buttons we don't need and bring it into the 21st century. |

How about multi-lingual dictionaries? That should require no new software and I'd quickly buy French-English, German-English, and Spanish English dictionaries. And how about incorporating Unicode support in the next software update?
