My daughter and her wife asked my wife and I to start a book club together. We are reading through Fourth Wing, one chapter a day. On Sunday's we facetime each other and talk about the book. It's been fantastic.

And what a book!

Just finished Go As A River by Shelley Read, loved it and I just keep thinking about the story, the people in it and the locations. Also, this is the first time I opened Google Maps and looked up the locations from this story.

I'm still enjoying the Detective Kubu series. It's pretty good. I've read several Wikipedia articles on Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kalahari etc as well.

Warning: one shouldn't read this series while on a diet. The amounts of food Kubu can polish off are truly astonishing, and often described in detail. He drinks lots of wine too. I'm really worried about the condition of his liver.
