That error indicates the OPF file inside the EPUB is corrupted/invalid.

I test others ebook with no change and i obtain the same error : something is new with the new version 3.12 ?

Why the same error with all the old eBook with no change ?
With a new content.opf : same error !

How did you create that new content.opf?

'corrupt' can be damaged or it can just be syntactically (a typo?) wrong.

Nevermind how i create the new "content.opf", this file was OK and the eBook is well validated. I need some little modifications.
The errors are since the new version (3.12).
I've several eBook already in the calibre library : without any change, if i try to convert these eBooks, i've obtained the same error.
But, for these eBooks, i erase the file ePub and launches a new conversion is OK.
Something is wrong with the new version of calibre : a bug, a bad install (done twice), what else...

The error was "OPF contains invalid markup" Kovid stated "That error indicates the OPF file inside the EPUB is corrupted/invalid." This means it was either corrupted or the markup was simply invalid.

If it is your contention that there is a bug and you have multiple books affected simply file a bug report as described here. Attach a book that exhibits the error to the report (then mark the report private.) This will allow Kovid to have a closer look.

In this case, perhaps normal that : OPF contains invalid markup, trying to parse it anyway
I'm with "High Sierra" a few days before Calibre 3.12.

Have you installed the epubcheck plugin for the Calibre editor and actually tried validating your ePub?

I have magic powers. You have edited your EPUB files with some tool (such as a zip/unzip program) that adds Mac OS'es stupid hidden folders into the file. That is causing your issues. Use the unpack book tool in calibre to unpack the book, delete the __MACOSX folder and repack it and you will be fine.

Or you can keep on complaining that calibre 3.12 is broken and you will get nowhere.

Did you use calibre's unpack tool as suggested?

Hi Kovid,
it's fine without using zip program.
But i don't find in French "unpack book tool".
I try using "Ajouter des livres" & "Ajouter des livres à partir de répertoires, un livre par répertoire..." : it's ok for an old & the new eBook (validation is OK).
