Jeez, who comes up with their genre assignments?! This is an alternative history story, set in 1964 Germany after the Nazi regime won WWII. It would shock the heck out of someone who was looking for a "contemporary" novel.

Get a free The Great Courses course, called Food: A Culinary History, by following the link above.

This is a 36-lesson course, with individual lessons of about 33-34 minutes each. There is a difference between this course, and the typical The Great Courses course, in that this one is in the form of a podcast. There may be one or more disadvantage to this format, over that of the usual The Great Courses format, but if there is I don't know what it is.

The subjects of each one of the podcasts really look fascinating.

There are a number of books listed in the children's section that are definitely adult genres, so someone has no clue what they are assigning.
