D01100 battery into a Kindle 3?

Can anyone tell me if the battery from a Kindle D01100 can be used in a Kindle Keyboard?

(Not sure what a D01100 is, but that's how it's described in the listing I'm thinking of bidding on.

)

If your "Kindle D01100" looks like this, it is a K4:

A K4 battery is not the same size as a K3 (i.e. "Kindle Keyboard"), and it has different electrical connections. It will not replace a K3 battery without suitable modification (e.g. see my "Kindle Battery Surgery" thread) -- much easier to just buy a K3 battery if that is what you need.

Really sorry! I didn't realise I'd had any reply here. Thank you. - actually I did buy a new battery after a couple of days.

And with the new battery, I now have problems so I'm just starting a new thread... ah me.
