Displaying SVG

In an old post :

I try that but the result is the same as with my own code to present an svg image. When reading on the kobo device the open/enlarge image function does not work unless the svg image is in it's own independent file.

Not sure what you are saying. If you tick full page image you get an <svg> tag if you untick it you get an <img> tag.

I'm talking about the behaviour of the svg image (not of Calibre). It's possible in kobo to touch an svg image opening a 'function' giving the reader the ability to increase the viewing size of the image.

It's work well if the svg image its the only content of a file but not when the image is imbedded between other contents.

Is there a way to make the 'increasing function' to work when the svg is imbedded ?

That appears to be a restriction on the device. From the very little testing I have done, it works how you describe it. If it is just one svg wrapped image in the file, then you can zoom in on it. If there is more than one, it doesn't work. If you need to have multiple images in a single file, you will need to use img tags with with an appropriate style to maximise the image on the screen. Then you can double tap the image to see it in the image viewer.

I don't know if this behaviour is deliberate, an oversight or a bug. But, if you want it changed, you need to report it as a problem to Kobo.

Thank you David.

I am satisfied to know it's not a code problem but not with the practical result.

(Zoom was the word I should have use to describe the problem.)
