Switching libraries

When switching libraries, what's the difference between choosing Quick Switch -> Library and choosing the library directly from the dropdown list?

I appreciate this clarification. Just an idea for consideration - in the next release maybe the drop-down menu in the image shot above should say 'Libraries' or 'menu'; right now it says 'Quick Switch', which is actually the 5 most recently viewed libraries you described.
