May be unrelated or the same issue. I had a problem with my subscription so phoned them this morning. Website is undergoing a revamp and may take a few days to get back to normal.

They may be having some website issues, but I tried the website on my Chrome browser (I have a subscription) and everything seems to be working fine. I also easily downloaded for offline the new issue on both my Android apps (the new app and the Legacy app).

I to have a subscription and am able to read all articles, both through the my browsers and the App. The issue was, and still is for me at the moment, that you can't see your account details. When you try, it asks you to submit your user name and password, then tells you no such user exists. This is what will be resolved within a few days.

For at least the last two weeks most Spectator articles have no content, just the brief article summary that appears under the titles.

But each article has the invitation to LOGIN or SUBSCRIBE. So obviously a subscription is now required, at least for the current recipe.

I could be mistaken, but I believe there was once a recipe that allowed for a login.

I do have a subscription (for web and mobile apps) but I do like the convenience of reading on a Kindle for my morning trip to the coffee shop! And, as with other things like The New York Times, I hate having to pay twice for the same content, once for web/apps, and again for Kindle.

I long for the day that a Kindle subscription would come with all-digital access. It does for the Washington Post, at the same or lower price than digital access alone. But then of course they're both Bezos products!
I wouldn't even mind paying a little extra for a Kindle+digital-access subscription so the publishers can recoup what they lose in Amazon fees.
One can only hope.

couple of articles are subscription exclusive (like 2or 3) but rest of em load.

maybe you can add subscription as optional and create a login interface.

Thanks that recipe worked for the most part.

Missing article content seemed to be all the Rod Liddle articles/columns. I'll have to find someone else to make me angry! But he writes well. Taki also missing unfortunately. As well as quite a few by various authors in the "Life" section.

As to subscription login, unfortunately I wouldn't know how to create that. I would if I could. I've looked at various recipes that require logins and the login code seems to vary by publication, depending on the url for the login page and often a whole series of other pages/hoops to go through, unique to each publication. WAY ABOVE MY ABILITIES. My tweaking of recipes is pretty much limited to adding a command to "left align" or to remove images, or change the title of a custom recipe. That's about it. That's why I'm so thankful there are knowledgeable, skilled people willing to share their talent for these things.
