What type of Stylus for this AURA ONE?

Greets,

I found myself needing to highlight a few things but the finger is rather cumbersome and imprecise. I was wondering if some specific stylus would work with kobo.

There are so many different stylii for all types of screens I hope some works with kobo AURA ONE. So far I've tried one from samsung without batteries but didn't work.

Thanks in advance.

The Aura One has a capacitive touchscreen, so any type of capacitive stylus (not pen) will work. I use this one with my Libra 2:

Thanks from the prompt reply!

Some more questions, I see that pen has a 'larger' circular disk at the tip. What do you think about capacitative stylii without base? Such as this one:

STAEDTLER Noris digital jumbo
https://www.amazon.com/STAEDTLER-180.../dp/B086N4KK7Z

My concern is whether AURA ONE screen is not glass and be able to withstand the wear of a fine tip. If it's not glass the fine tip could degrade it over time or something.

The link that you gave looks good enough for my purposes, but here I have a question for you. After your experience with your stylus, if you were to purchase a new one, which would you get? Have you seen something better? My budget is up to 40$. I don't mind the expense since I enjoy soo much the ebook.

Thanks in advance!

Any cheap phone screen stylus with a soft tip, about €1.50 here in local shops. Avoid disks (awkward and easily broken) or fine tips (those are for higher resolution touch resistive screens).
The Aura One is ordinary capacitive touch.

The Staedtler is for a Wacom EMR type digitiser. It might not work.

Avoid
Disc tips
interchangeable tips
Fine Tips
Any item compatible with Apple Pencil, EMR, Wacom, Surface 3 or later Pen (i.e. anything with pressure sensing).

Only get simple soft rounded tip no less than 3mm (1/8″) diameter.

Edit:
This is like the one sold locally.
https://www.amazon.com/Screens-Unive...dp/B0CHRD1S86/

Works on all phones, tablets, Kindles, Kobos* I have tried. Soft tip doesn't wear screen.
Doesn't work on old Palm PDA or old Nintendo as those are resistive so need a pointy plastic or bamboo stick.

[* You have to press a little more on older ereaders, like original Kobo H2O that use IR light instead of capacitive, to block the light. Oddly works fine on the Sony PRS-350.]

If Aleron Ives' is like mine
https://www.gadgetexplained.com/2018...tylus.html?m=1

the disk is transparent and angled so there is more precision and repeatability of where you are writing, and even estimate your position better due to well defined center point and angle.

There may have been concerns over scrstching the surface, but I believe that was attributed to fine grit accumulation, so a cleaning was suggested.

The one I linked has two tips. I never use the side with the disc, as I don't write on my Libra 2. I use the side with the large capacitive ball for tapping, so I don't constantly have to clean fingerprints off the screen. I can also slide it across the screen when I need to highlight something, but using my finger is more accurate. I just hate cleaning touchscreens.

Both sides of the pen have magnetic caps, so if you like fiddling while you read, you can snap the cap for the unused disc side on and off and drive everybody nearby crazy. The ball side looks similar to the one Quoth linked, except the ball is silvery and looks like it has woven material in rows, whereas Quoth's looks more rubbery and smooth.

There isn't really more precision to have. The rounded soft rubber tip is cheapest, easiest to use and works perfectly.
Still €1.50 today in local Limerick shops. Plain anodised aluminium finish (the linked one is coloured).

I wouldn't argue with the first two points.

But if I am trying to join two specific points, e.g. the top and bottom strokes on the capital letter I, the disk gives more visibility.

To prove it to myself, I wrote "FILTHY RACKET" several times with both types of tips, and got somewhat neater results with the disc, though not as comfortable as the soft cushiony tip.

But the stylus for the Aura One would be for page turning, menus, highlighting, using touch keyboard.

Not handwriting. Not a sensible model for handwriting. Oddly the Libra 2, while not having conversion, does work with the Digitiser Pen for high resolution sketching and written notes in the Beta Sketch pad. However everywhere else it needs the round tip dumb stylus or a finger.

Really the Sage is minimum for note taking, though the Libra 2 lets you save (but not edit later) the handwritten notes and add them to the book list. Copy them to PC later via USB.
