Can /etc/hosts be used to block OTA updates?

I conclude that 5.11.2 is update.bin.tmp.partial evil. Good that I had the hotfix.|

/etc/hosts only works on indirect addresses (domain names), will not be used if the domain IP address is already known to the firmware.
There is a KUAL App. for that. The BBB (Block Big Brother) KUAL firewall menu add-in. Note: The app. has not been updated recently, you should check if Amazon has added any IP networks to their system (IP4 only). Last edited by knc1; 08-18-2019 at 10:37 AM. |
