Malory, Thomas, Sir: Le Morte Darthur. v1. 3 Jul 2015

Sir Thomas Malory (died 14 March 1471) was an English writer, the author or compiler of Le Morte d'Arthur. Since the late nineteenth century he has generally been identified as Sir Thomas Malory of Newbold Revel in Warwickshire, a knight, land-owner and Member of Parliament. Previously, it was suggested by the antiquary John Leland, as well as John Bale, that he was Welsh (identifying "Malory" with "Maelor"). Occasionally, other candidates are put forward for authorship of Le Morte d'Arthur, but the supporting evidence for their claim has been described as "no more than circumstantial".

Excerpt
It befell in the days of Uther Pendragon, when he was king of all England, and so reigned, that there was a mighty duke in Cornwall that held war against him long time. And the duke was named the duke of Tintagil. And so by means king Uther sent for this duke, charging him to bring his wife with him, for she was called a fair lady, and a passing wise, and her name was called Igraine. So when the duke and his wife were come unto the king, by the means of great lords they were accorded both: the king liked and loved this lady well, and he made them great cheer out of measure, and desired to have had her love.

No. I haven't really had the chance to really look at it yet. I was just wondering as sometimes it is split into two files. The one I posted a while back was originally in two parts.

Interesting. When I do a search I only find one book.
What did you post?

If I stepped on your toes, I sorry.

No problem. I had the same result when I posted mine. I think there are several around MR. Mine is here: click I have it in epub too. Another was posted in 2007 by BenG.
