Leaving a friend's Paperwhite 5 on charge in the hopes that it will charge and turn on. He left in a drawer for several months and it's shows up a Low battery warning. Since he no longer has any idea where his charging/data cable has gotten to, it got dumped in my direction.

Edit: after charging for a couple of hours on a 5V/300mA charger, it has woken up and is booting. Cue scene from Frankenstein/Young Frankenstein!

And yes, I know that is a rather low charging current. It's the only charger I have that still has a builtin USB micro-B cable so I could place the Kindle on a ceramic holder.
