Dual Screen reader

I was checking on an upcoming software program from Mircosoft Research called InkSeine (really cool) when I paged down about half the page I saw this article on work being done on a dual screen e-reader. Looks impressive. Has anyone heard about this? The blog (The AlpineInker) links to this page.
