Buying books at the connect store from Europe?

I flying to the US next week :-)

Do you know if it is possible to buy books from the Connect store with a European Visa/Master/Amex card?

Thanks,

To elaborate: the ConnStore currently requires a Credit Card with a U.S. billing address to make purchases ... or gift certificates.

Humm...

Do they check where the credit card has been issued or do they just look at the address supplied during the registration?

I think they may just check the address that's entered at registration -- however, the credit card company may bounce the transaction if the addresses don't match.

typically, the address supplied during your purchase (online) is compared with your address registered with your cc and if they dont match the transaction is declined, BUT it depends on how the card is charged. im guessing that sony would check the address and probably cvv to help prevent fraud

They might also use the first 4-digits (or is it 6-digits now?) of the CC to determine the issuing bank.

Thanks,
What you can do is buy the "Connect Ebooks Card" giftcards. I usually buy them in the Borders stores in the airports.
