What does unsecured text mean and what's the difference with secure? Why doesn't the PRS 350 have it? What's the purpose of it?

In what context have you seen this? I'm afraid it doesn't ring a bell. Unless it's a strange term for DRM?

I was comparing specs on the sony website and notice the 600 and 650 have unsecure text and the 300 and 350 does not support unsecured text.

This is just marketing speak for books with DRM and without. 300 and 350 most definitely do support books without DRM, so sounds to me like a document error.

Almost as if marketing are avoiding the term "DRM" because it is such a dirty word with consumers. Surely this must be sending a message to the publishers?
