I dont want the book title at every page

Hello everyone,

Apple's iBook epub reader shows the title of the book at every page. I hate this since it can be very distracting (especially when it is a LONG title). Real paperbooks do not have the title printed on every page.

Is there any way to get rid of this either during Calibre's conversion to the epub format, or alternately changing the stylesheet in Calibre's editor?

Any pointer is much appreciated. Thank you.

Actually, most of mine do have Page# Title on one page, Author page number on the other page . AKA Odd Even page headers.

The question is: What is in the code?
Your description makes no mention if this is on every SCREEN. If they stay when scrolling.

If that is true, the these are supplied by the reading App, check THOSE settings
(And they wont be there in the Calibre viewer)

This is the iBooks app in iOS. At every page the title of the book is displayed. When the app is set to scrolling, the title disappears.

So why are you asking an IOS app question in Calibre?

In general the header and footer (in this case book title & page number) are features of the reading app. They have nothing to do with the book file itself. AFAIK iBooks (or I guess it's "Books" now) has no setting to turn off the header.
