ereader for nintendo dsi?

My son has a nintendo dsi and I would like to get him started with some books on it. (saw a great thread with lots of children's ebooks here on MR). I have heard that you can do the dslibris on the nintendo ds. Does it work on dsi? And does anyone have step by step? I looked at the website and was so confused on how to go about setting it up.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need a dsi linker (r4i, dstt, Acekard ), to run homebrew such as dslibris.
Problem is said linkers can also be used for illegal stuff (like runnig comercial games roms), so finding one can be a mess.
DealExtreme used to sell them until they got a dmca notice...
