New Year's Resolutions, anyone?

Happy New Year everyone!

Have you made any New Year's resolutions?

My resolution is to write a book and sell at least one copy in 2012.

I've got a lot to learn, but I'm confident I can do it with the help of the many experts here.

Besides the standard resolution of losing weight I'm going to see if I can become a blood donor. I also want to use less plastic bags, I've been cleaning up my office and the amount of plastic bags I put in the plastic bin was rediculous. I often buy one of those reuseable bags at the supermarket but hardly ever reuse them, because they take up too much space in my handbag I never take one with me. I'm ging to get a reusable bag made out of cloth, one that can be folded into it's own small pouch.

My resolution is to not make resolutions

If I see things about myself I want to change, I'll change them when and where I notice the problem ;-)

My one resolution started a couple weeks back when I got my Sony Reader, and that was "read more books", but it was a life resolution, and unrelated to the oncoming new year

In 2002 I was on a serious weight loss program and lost some serious weight. Now, 10 years later, I'm within a few pounds of being back where I started. Time to get serious again. Sigh.

I suspect that many of my questions will have already been dealt with in the Writers Corner, so I have a lot of research to do before I start posting about my difficulties.
