erasing all bookmarks in 505

Short of "Format Internal Memory", one by one or book by book, I think. Go to the list of them then go to the first, delete it, then "menu" to go back & repeat. If you've got a load from 1 book, the book's "Utils" section has an option to delete all bookmarks in the book at once.

I think you can edit the cache xml (AFAIR it's in Sony Reader/database folder).
