For those who don't know, Jakob Nielsen is a usability expert, and that's the respect in which he's reviewing the Kindle.

Summary:
Quote:
Amazon's new e-book reader offers print-level readability and shines for reading fiction, but it has awkward interaction design and poor support for non-linear content.
Nielsen also reviews Amazon's Kindle application for the iPhone, generally concluding that Stanza is easier to use, but the synchronization between the Kindle and the iPhone may make the difference in usability.
