Have you heard of the internet meme "Chuck Norris Facts"? Well, here is a set about the SF author:

Wow! Glad I hadn't seen that before I saw him at the Festival, I would have been much too intimidated to ask for his autograph (although at least, per no.8, I'm in illustrious company)

Here's some other facts (make of them what you will) about Mr. Gaiman:

Neil Gaiman is the son of a prominent leader of the Church of Scientology.

Neil Gaiman was active in the denomination for a long time.

Neil Gaiman was declared SP (Suppresive Person) in 1983 by the CoS.

Neil Gaiman completed at least three documented CoS courses in 1988, despite his supposed SP status.

Neil Gaiman's wife was delcared 'clear' by the CoS in 2002.

Neil's wife Mary Gaiman was declared "Patron with Honors" by The Magazine of the International Association of Scientologists in December of 2002.

Neil's mother, was listed just above his wife in the same magazine as "IAS Patron Meritorious".

The Gaiman Family in 2004 and 2006 were awarded Patron and Founding Patron status (this is for the highest donators)

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact his surname is spelt Gaiman.

Or am I missing something really obvious because I have not yet read the linked site?

Did the possibility that the OP might have misspelled the name in the header ever occur to you? Especially if you consider the fact that in the text it is spelled Gaiman?

these are seriously not so cool facts... still, separating author from work is always the best bet, however difficult it may seem.
