Cool Free (nook/Kindle/Kobo) The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot [YA Surprise Royalty Novel]

The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot (Wikipedia) is the 1st novel in her eponymous bestselling series of YA epistolary humorous teen personal drama novels and basis for the hit film with Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews in it (Wikipedia), this installment setting up the titular high school girl who discovers her secret heritage as an unexpected princess of a Ruritanian small European country and the ensuing adventures as she tries to adapt to her new life, free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins.

This is B&N's featured Free Fridays selection, and also available in selected other stores in certain countries.

Currently free @ B&N, Amazon & iTunes (neither available to Canadians at the moment but might drop later), Kobo & Google Play (both available to Canadians). Price-drop-check linkage for eBooks.com & BookShout, where this might already be free in the US or become so later.

Unlikely to cross the pond, since Macmillan appears to have the overseas rights in most places.

And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Because it's always very nifty to receive as a freebie one of those bestselling cultural phenomenon sorts of titles that was a smash hit back in the day (and apparently still very popular among its new generation of readership and ongoing to this very day, with the obligatory spinoffs).

Enjoy!

Description
What? A princess??

Me??? Yeah, right.

Mia Thermopolis is pretty sure there's nothing worse than being a five-foot-nine, flat-chested freshman, who also happens to be flunking Algebra.

Is she ever in for a surprise.

First Mom announces that she's dating Mia's Algebra teacher. Then Dad has to go and reveal that he is the crown prince of Genovia. And guess who still doesn't have a date for the Cultural Diversity Dance?
