What happened with Eddings Belgariad. I bought them as they were released, slowly, over the last year then just after I bought the last one they disappeared?

That's a good question. They weren't in the US store for long. Could be a dispute over who currently owns the rights in the US.

Tor (US) are finally publishing Gene Wolfe's Lake of the Long Sun as an ebook, release date August 25. It is book two of the four-part Long Sun series, the other books in the series have been available as ebooks for more than two years.

SF Gateway is releasing Ursula K. Le Guin's early Hainish Cycle books Rocannon's World, Planet of Exile and City of Illusions as ebooks in September.

Also from SF Gateway, two of Robert Holdstock's books now available outside Canada/US: The Hollowing completes the Ryhope Wood series, and The Iron Grail completes the Merlin Codex series.

Brooklyn public library has added a bunch of Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey & Maturin ebooks.

I picked up Tanya Huff's Sing the Four Quarters. It looks like they are releasing this backlist series one book every two months. Her Wizard of the Grove (omnibus book with Child of the Grove and The Last Wizard) will be coming out in March. The Child of the Grove and Last Wizard were her first books. Huff's a pretty interesting writer, she's had hits in the traditional fantasy (Wizard of the Grove), SF and urban fantasy.

I don't think they were available to libraries previously? If there is no interest in new ebooks available to libraries, I'll stop posting.

I suspect the issue here is that Harry was pointing out that the books were for sale in the UK, and Anemic Oak pointed out they had been for sale in the US for a while.

*I* am interested books being newly available to libraries since I'm on a self-imposed ban on buying books for myself.

I wasn't criticising your post, John. Often, when books have different UK and US publishers, ebooks that have been available in the UK for ages can be newly available in the US, or vice versa.
