Forma Newbie Forma owner help series info

Hi all, Santa got me a Kobo Forma for Christmas

I'm using Calibre Portable to sideload some books onto it and I'm having trouble getting the series information to come across. I could've sworn that on my mums Aura the series information shows once I've rebooted the device but mine is not. I don't recall if it used to show in the collections or in book details but I'm sure it was there somewhere on the Aura but alas I'm a bit rusty.

What is best practice settings for the Forma to show series info, tia

Ok partially answering my own question resyncing the metadata with calibre has brought the series info across. I am thinking though that having a collection auto create for each series may be helpful currently the device has no collections

The series info cannot be set when a book is first sent to the device. You need to let the device import the books and connect again. The series info will be updated then.

Collections can be set when the book is sent, but they are also maintained whenever the device is connected. https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kob...nd_Collections is a guide to configuring the collections. And uses series as an example.
