Slow editor?

A lady makes this comment to me
What have you noticed in caliber 6.28.1 is slower than the 6.4, fixing a book on it is a bit frustrating... the 6.4 was already slower than the 3.48, and now this one is slower than the 6.4.
When you click on modify book, and you are fixing it, it takes a long time to change the pages, when I cut and paste some text it is slow... I don't know, it's nothing in particular, it's all slower than the previous one, it takes longer to react to what you tell him to do

Its operating system is windows 10

reboot in safe mode and see if your problems go away.

How big are the 'chapter' files ?
One of the early things I do is split huge files (I started back when a 260K section could choke RMSDK) .
One of the advantages of an EPUB editor is (open) file-tabs.
