Amazon closing Kindle Newsstand
Looks like Amazon Kindle is getting out of the newstand//magazine business.
I got this in an email.

"Dear Amazon Customer,

Thank you for being a valued Amazon Kindle Newsstand subscriber. We are writing to inform you that we have made the decision to stop selling Kindle magazine and newspaper subscriptions on Amazon."

My guess is Amazon is doing away with Mobi and to do so, they have to give up magazines and newspapers because they are in Mobi.

There was another thread about this when the news broke back in December. Kindle magazines and newspapers being phased out??

My understanding is that some of this content will remain but will only be available through a Kindle Unlimited subscription.

They're doing away with print subscriptions as well. I got a notice that they will no longer carry our granddaughter's National Geographic for Kids. We'll have to renew through National Geographic going forward.
