are color pocketbooks rootable?

I may be blind(ish) but i cant see any info if the color ink ones are rootable. i see just postings of people who tried the old jailbreak and failed. is there a way for newer ones? I'm looking at the inkpad 3 color, would love to have smb and ssh on it like on my inkpad 3 pro

I don't think any of the color devices are rootable at this point.

You don't need root to run sshd or smbd on the device if you assign port numbers above 1024 to listen at. I provided an sshd package for older devices in this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...30&postcount=1 The README contains information on how to build and configure sshd to work without root privileges. It's likely that my old packages won't work on the latest firmwares because of library incompatibilities, so rebuilding yourself is probably necessary.

Hi,
I rooted my PB633 with https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=3921722 , exactly the same as with the pb 632 (touch hd 3).
