Ich habe "BigDir" nicht so genau gemeint. Du solltest einfach die Name des (großte) Unterverzeichnis ersetzen.

Many reviews say it has a Qualcomm snapdragon 662, but it doesn't detect as SDM662 or Bengal but as Kamorta. I don't find much useful information Googling that. Maybe it's worth trying SDM662 loaders though? Hopefully someone will do a tear down of the device so we can see whats printed on the chip.

Edit: I should've read the Leaf 2 topic first. Maybe try the loader that Renate mentioned there?

It shouldn't print anything. You're dumping everything so we don't have to consider that in the time equation.
Here's a (slightly) better way to do things:

That's a big reference folder of mine.
No, there's not a single directory with a zillion files, but the entire tree contains ~8000 files. This takes effectively zero time (1/3 of a second).

Yes, and I donot know what - I've completely reset the device a few times.
I only installed the Simple Ink Launcher because of the Android settings option.
Tab ultra allows a maximum of 10 minutes to sleep and to get around that I set Developer Connected on.
Caliber Companion does not work in sleep mode and the 16.000 files transfer takes about 70 minutes.
But afterwards I turned off the developer.

So, it takes 1/4 of a second to list ~5000 files (in /system).
And it takes 4 minutes to list ~16,000 files (in /sdcard).

Your system is trying to tell you what's going on.

Are you allowed to run this:

You didn't put any (symbolic) links in the big directory, did you?

Can you try stopping the Android system and see if it makes a difference?

Just to add a data point: I synced a "large" folder to my Tab Ultra and timed the ls operation. With roughly 7500 files, it came out at around 13 seconds:
