Target Launches Early Black Friday Deals This Week

As we covered earlier, Target is once again featuring what they call Black Friday Deals in their weekly ads leading up to Black Friday. This week's specials focus on kitchen and electronics. Target also has a section with up to 50% off select toys, home items and more. View those deals here.

As mentioned this week you'll find Early Black Friday Deals on kitchen items and electronics, including several TVs. Also be sure to check your Target Circle offers as Target has been sending out several targeted (no pun intended) offers for either $ or % off purchases.

Time for another sneak peek at some of Target's upcoming deals. We've just posted the 30-page Target weekly sale ad for next week. The deals in this ad start on Sunday, October 16th and run through Saturday the 22nd, both in stores and online on Target.com.

The ad features a new set of Target's early Black Friday Deals on pages 5 and 6 of the ad. This week's Black Friday deals once again focus on kitchen and tech deals. You'll find deep discounts on cookware, kitchen electrics, laptops, sound bar speakers and more.

Walmart Doubles Down on Convenience, Value and Experience

To Serve Customers This Holiday Season

BENTONVILLE, Ark., Sept. 22, 2022 — Walmart is ready to serve its customers this holiday season, offering better value and more convenience than ever as customers start their holiday shopping. More than half of Walmart customers will start their holiday shopping research in October 1 and Walmart is prepared to meet their needs and help them make the most of the season with an exceptional experience no matter how, when or where they want to shop.

New and expanded “no concerns” returns options

Walmart is making the returns experience easier and more convenient with three new and expanded options that save customers time during the busiest season of the year and give them extra peace of mind when shopping for gifts. Starting in October, Walmart customers and Walmart+ members can take advantage of seamless new returns options, including:

Holiday Guarantee: Customers are shopping earlier, and now Walmart guarantees they won’t have to worry about short return windows with the newly extended holiday return policy for purchases, including electronics and Marketplace items. Eligible purchases made on or after October 1 can be returned through January 31, 2023.

Curbside returns: Walmart knows time is precious to its customers, and curbside returns allow customers to return items from the comfort of their vehicles while they’re picking up their weekly essentials.

Return Pickup from Home for Walmart+ members: Beginning during the busiest time of year, Walmart will offer Walmart+ members in select stores the option of returns picked up right from their doorstep, taking one more thing off their holiday ‘to-do’ list. When initiating an eligible return on the app, Walmart+ members will be able to schedule a return from the comfort of their home and complete the process without having to leave their doorstep. Members won’t need to provide a box or a label – simply hand off the return to one of our delivery drivers, and Walmart will handle the rest.

The ‘Holiday Guarantee’ is available to all Walmart customers across the U.S. starting October 1. Curbside returns and Return Pickup from Home options will launch in select stores the first week of October and will continue to expand to more stores in the coming months. In addition to these new services, customers can still enjoy all the existing ways to return items to Walmart, including in stores and by mail.

Walmart Announces Easier & Extended Returns

Walmart issued a press release this morning touting several new initiatives for the upcoming holiday shopping season including deeper savings and several new ways to return purchases.

Walmart claims they are making "significant price investments in key categories" to keep prices low this year and will offer thousands more Rollbacks to provide even deeper savings.

Purchases made from October 1st through the holidays can be returned until January 31, 2023. Walmart also will allow customers to use curbside returns and for Walmart+ members, select stores will offer return pickup from your home to save a trip to the store.

Welcome to Black October

Last year (02 Dec), conan50 predicted BF would begin 01 Oct and it began last Monday when Target started their Black Friday sales and last Tuesday when Amazon started their sales. I'd say he nailed it.

Starting this month, some of the stores have already extended their return dates to sometime in Jan 2023 and guarantee price matching throughout the holiday season. That should remove any qualms about purchasing early only to find a lower price later on. This does NOT apply to all stores.

As usual YMMV - have fun y'all

I never thought it would be possible to hate Black Friday any more than I already did. I was wrong.

We've got 3 new ads from Sam's Club for you to check out. First is a 2-page preview of Sam's Club's Thanks-Savings sale ad which essentially is their Black Friday ad. Note that this ad has no prices. This sale runs for 4 days from Thanksgiving Day (online only) through Sunday, November 27th.

Next, take a look at the 9-page ad for their November Savings Weekend, a sale that runs from November 5th through the 9th. There will be additional deals besides the ones in these pages.

Finally, we have Sam's Club's 28-page Instant Savings ad which starts October 26th and runs until November 23rd. This is the type of monthly ad Sam's Club has many times during the year.

For the Black Friday wishlist: I need a new PC to replace an old desktop. I tend to prefer another desktop, but would be open to a laptop. My current Dell desktop is about twelve years old, meaning it's been a really long time since I've done any serious computer shopping. I haven't yet started to do any research on what I should look for, so I welcome any advice. Thanks.

For my wish list, I'll be looking for an Apple Watch (Series 8, 41 mm, GPS only). Prime Day didn't work out for me, as my October expenses included my annual flood insurance premium, as well as replacing both my dishwasher and lawnmower.

We have the Tineco Pure ONE S11. It was the highest rated by Consumer Reports and we are very happy with it. I did get a second battery and the wall dock has a charge slot for the extra battery. we just got hardwood floors and this works great. We also have a dog that, if I was guessing her breed, would be a shedder. Actually, she is half Beagle and half Walker Coon Hound. She also has a very sweet personality. This vacuum is great at getting up dog hair.

Unfortunately, I don't consider that an advantage! I dread possibly not being able to use all my old software. But as reluctant as I am, it's time to move on.
