Is there a way to hang onto books *downloaded* to iOS?
I usually just navigate to my library via Safari (or Mercury browser, far better) and download the epubs and open them in iBooks.
This is great until I have to rebuild the phone/ipad, because stuff added to iBooks this way doesn't get synced. They're still in my Calibre library, but they're gone from my device. Is there a way to make sure they get synced to my laptop? |

I believe if you open iTunes with your iDevice connected, you can transfer the books from the iDevice to the iTunes Books playlist. If you can't simply drag them, try transferring purchases from the File menu.
