Thanks!

Two questions:

1. What format should the numeric column be? Is integer just 0 to 255 or is there a long form integer? (I think I answered that by entering a number greater than 255 so it's a long form integer.)

2. There is a second column for "calculation method." Where are the specifications for that. I could give the page numbers for each of the chapters in the TOC, which would constrain the calculation. Is there a way to do that?

There is no way to give separate page numbers to chapters. You put in the page number for the entire book and it uses that.

1. Create a custom numeric column
2 Preferences > Plugin
3. Search for Kindle and select Kindle 2/3/4/Touch/PaperWhite /Voyage Device Interface (1.0.0)
4. Click Customize plugin
5. Check "Send page number information when sending books"
6. Under that select accurate
7. Under "Custom column name to retrieve page counts from" put in the name of the column you created
8. Check "Overwrite existing apnx on device"
9. Click OK
10. Click Apply
11. Click Close

Now, if you do not put in a page number in the custom column, Ca;ibre will still create a page number file for your eBook.

P.S. KF8 is the proper name for AZW3.
Thanks this helped, did a custom page count for my PW4 and now each page turn = 1 page in a book.
