Do you any more recent information on issues with Tolino ereaders and LCP? The link you supplied is from 2019 and for firmware 12.20. Since my epos is currently on 15.20, I find the 12.20 information not very useful.

Then how does Amazon have library books in the US? And I wouldn't think they need to implement LCP on the Kindle. I assume the library books are actually handled through their store in a similar way to what Kobo does.

You’re not the only one; I searched as well and couldn’t find it, though I had seen it before.

TL;DR: I quite liked it – clean user interface, available for Mac, Linux, Windows. One of the most compatible readers (EPUB3, PDF, DAISY, others). Many features like OPDS, TTS (not so good on Linux), working LCP, fast. It’s not meant for library management, most features missing there. This—and maybe Foliate—could well be the desktop readers of choice for those who don’t wish for a fully-fledged solution like Calibre.
It was self-promotion posted in News and was unapproved. But since it IS relevant content, it's now been moved to the appropriate forum and re-approved.

Yes, that's how Kindle library eBooks are handled.

Ahem. Perhaps discussion of DRM schemes and their implementations could happen in another thread? And leave this thread for new info about the DeDRM plugin?

I just discovered about noDRM. Does it still works with Kindle and Kobo books? I wanted to migrate from kindle to kobo while keeping my books.

Yes, nodrm's branch of the DeDRM code works with Kindle and Kobo though for books from Kobo using their desktop app or synced to your Kobo ereader, you will need the Obok plugin. Both plugins are packaged in the DeDRM tools .zip file.

LCP (Licensed Content Protection) is currently most popular in Europe. See What is Readium LCP? for a bit more information.

Bits of Europe and mostly Library loans, which we shouldn't be mucking about with.
