  How long can I listen to a title?
  
  All digital rentals provide a minimum of 30 days to listen to a book from the time you initiate your first download. With some of our longer books, such as Atlas Shrugged (63hrs), we extend the listening period to 60 days. You do have the option of purchasing a 5, 10, or 20 day extension after you have made your rental purchase.

  How many times can I listen to my rental?
  
  You may listen to a rental as many times as you would like until it expires.

  Can I extend my rental time period?
  
  Once you are logged into your Downpour.com account, you can purchase a time extension for any of your previous rentals via THIS link. After clicking “Extend Rental,” you have the option of purchasing a 5-day ($1.95), 10-day ($2.95) or 20-day ($4.95) extension. If your rental has not yet expired, the purchased time will be added onto your rental. (Example: if your rental has one day remaining, and you purchase a five-day extension, you will now have six days total before your rental expires.) If your rental has already expired, the extension will allow you to listen to your book again for the amount of time purchased.

He deftly portrays Bee's harsh exchanges with the police detectives as well as her ever-increasing worry. In softer, more contemplative tones, he captures Donovan's unconscious musings. The dual stories come together to form an absorbing, satisfying mystery.

Narrator Roy McMillan takes one of Stevenson's best horror stories and wraps his vocal cords around it with a reedy English accent that brings the dramatic sequences to a stunning conclusion. McMillan ably portrays the two friends who went to medical school together, studying under a doctor of questionable ethics. The duo's meeting, years later, in a bar leads to the story's rising tension and chilling conclusion. McMillan's clipped delivery and perfectly placed emphasis make this trip to the dark side a treat for horror fans and a good introduction for those not familiar with Stevenson's THE STRANGE CASE OF DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE.

Week 12 -- In Week 12 of SYNC, we forego emotional comfort and instead take a break from summer’s heat with chills brought by thrillers. Tim Wynne-Jones—another Canadian author, by the way—narrates his own novel, which comes from two perspectives. From one character, we take note of her deep concern that she seems alone in knowing her boyfriend did not try to commit suicide after murdering his father.
