I've been couponing most of the afternoon and evening.
In the Netherlands coffee and tea maker Douwe Egberts/Pickwick has points on the packages of their coffee, tea and chocolate milk. You can use them to buy or put towards purchases in their stores (500 points is worth €2.50). My mother has always saved those points, usually giving them away to family or friends if they want to buy something. Earlier this week I saw that they have a very nice tea caddy filled with various teas, so I spend today sorting, trimming, counting and bagging points. My mother just enough to get two tea caddies so my sister also gets one, too, which she doesn't know yet. |

I've picked out several songs, mostly Christmas carols, to teach my Senior Citizens English Conversation class students. Unfortunately, I don't know how to play any of them so I have to figure out a good picking or strum pattern for each, as well as deciding which key to play them in so that I can play the melody and backing chords at the same time. It's a good thing Christmas is still a few weeks away... Practice, practice, practice....

I just got the new Dresden Files, Cold Days, so I'm happy. First, though, I have to finish John Connolly's The White Road, which is also very good.

I'm making my list of what I need to do and trying to plan a dinner menu for this weekend. We have our annual Tree Trimming party and I haven't even started getting everything ready yet. Yikes!

I'm trying to decide if Japan took LSD or I did. This can be the only explanation for what I've been seeing in the mountains this year. I have NEVER seen colors as vivid as we are getting this year. I used to think Vermont had a lock of the Fall Foliage colors, but this year there is not doubt that Japan takes home the gold... and red... and green... and tan....and.... and... and.....
I used a polarizing filter, a graduated ND-3 filter to block the light from the upper half of the image, and a skylight filter to warm it all up, but all these do is make the camera see it the way my eyes see it. It really IS this vivid! Stitchawl |
