Calibre does not find Kobo Arc

Is there any way to get Calibre to find Kobo Arc, or are we just out of luck with it - I'm running Calibre 0.9.30 and I'm wondering if there will be a patch soon that will make the difference - Thanks a lot.

I'm mguesssing the Arc is an MTP device, which means you can connect it on windows vista and newer or linux. If you have nay other operating system, use one of the wireless methods described here: http://manual.calibre-ebook.com/faq....kindle-fire-hd

Hi - Thank you for your reply - I reopened calibre in debug mode and include the log - I'm running windows 8 - The strange thing is that until I ran the calibre updates my Kobo Arc was connected to Calibre for long enough to download some of my books into it - Now however, I'm unable to delete or add any - By the way I do not have iTunes, it is not a service that I subscribe to - Thank you for any help you are able to offer.

If you are running Windows XP, then Calibre cannot connect directly to MTP type devices (which is what I think the Kobo Arc is). As was mentioned one of the alternative methods of connecting might work.

Should I maybe uninstall and then reinstall Calibre and see if that makes any difference?

No harm in trying

However, you say you're running Win 8, but Calibre is seeing XP. So lets see what your computer system says it is running. Can you run System Info and post the following

OS Name,
Version,
Other OS Description,
OS Manufacturer
