PRS-950 Firmware Update

I found this download on the Sony site. It seems to have some superficial feature updates; however, it raises the firmware version from 1.x to 2.x.

Does anyone know what this update does in addition to the features on the Sony update page.

BTW, I had problems running the update program on Windows 7 64 bit, but it worked ok on my Windows 7 32 bit computer.

No harm was caused to the reader by my 64 bit computer. I am not sure that this is a real software problem or something with my specific Windows 7 64 bit installation.

I installed it a few weeks ago. Other than what Sony listed in the update info, I didn't see anything else. It really wasn't a let us (Sony) make the 950 better kind of update. Sony seems rather adverse to those kind of updates. It was more a let us (Sony) change our business model update and make the 950 work with the new model.

If Sony sees a way to make more money by updating their business model and firmware then they will, otherwise firmware updates are as rare as hen's teeth!
