Music download in PRS 650

I've downloaded some of my CD albums to Windows Media and they are in the MP3 format.

Now my problem is I can't put the album on my reader. I can put individual songs onto the reader but not the album. Does this mean I can only play one song at a time and then I have to select another one every three minutes or so? That doesn't seem like something I want to do.

Edith

Can someone help???

Put the lot on and play the first and the others will continue when it finishes...

When I have put individual songs on, it groups them into albums on the reader.

The Sony uses MP3 tags to organize your music or audio book titles into 'albums' and 'tracks' so if your MP3's have the proper ID2/ID3 tags, then all you have to do is drag all the files onto your reader at the same time.

I just put all the MP3 files for an album into one folder, and then drag that folder into my PRS-650's \database\media\audio folder.

If you are using the media player to do the transfer, then this is more properly a question for some 'windows' forum, but you can probably do something like click the first song in the album, then hit the shift key while clicking the last song to select them all at the same time, then transfer them the same way you now do for a single song (just guessing but this type of multi-select using the shift key usually works in windows)

I have no problem whatsoever sync'ing mp3 albums to the storage card on my 650 - I'm not certain the internal memory on the reader accepts sync'ing (although I have dragged-and-dropped albums there just fine).

Red face So have I got this right ?

Techno Dunce hear again I'm afraid..........

My music and audio books etc.. are in Media Player (XP3) .

To transfer any I want, do I just put SD card in PRS650, attach to computer, fire up Media Player, and then sync like I would to any other mp3 player ? (Presumably listing the device first, of course, which I presume will happen/come up automatically ?)

And the content will then be on the card ?

For audiobooks, be sure the cover pic is linked to both the album (book) itself, as well as each part - right click on each part to bring up the Advanced Tag Editor for that; otherwise, your book might not have any art while playing (which annoys me, but might be okay with you).

You can sync to the internal memory, but I only do that with small files ... anything much longer than a couple of hours, I'd keep on the card. Besides a book taking up a lot of room, if you were going to be away from your novel for a bit, you could make a note of where you're leaving off, pop out the card to "re-set" the audio bookmark to zero, and come back to that point later on, avoiding the "Do you want to resume your audio?" message.
