Have you explored the features that the Kindle has that other readers don't? I use readers on my company's blackberry, costs me $0 but I give up the screen size as I need to be scrolling constantly. What can the Kindle do that others can't?
1) Search through your digital library for a certain text string; 2) Personalize your Kindle; 3) Let's face it Amazon has everything, if all you buy is bestsellers or common novels why bother with a Kindle, get a cheap Kobo and save a bunch of dollars but give up the ability to buy odd ball titles. |

Good to have your company, Eli. Happy Kindling and best wishes. And now that your an MR member, you're welcome to take advantage of the RAEBW free ebooks offer in my temporary signature line below. Just pick out two or three books from the catalogue that catch your eye and it would be a pleasure to send them over to you in Mobi format for your Kindle. Bestests. Neil

Hello elibrown and welcome to MR. Your friend gave you good advice. The people are friendly and from all over the place. Their collective expertise has to be nearly infinite. And what's really cool is that this is a great place to hang out when your eyes are crossing from too much reading.
