typographic apostrophe and sort

Hi,

I would like to use typographic apostrophe (the curly one) on Calibre instead of typewriter apostrophe, but Calibre can not handle to sort titles correctly for french ebooks.
So I have changed on Preferences the parameter per_language_title_sort_articles like this for the french part:
Code:
'fra': ('Le\\s+', 'La\\s+', "L'", 'L’', 'Les\\s+', 'Un\\s+', 'Une\\s+', 'Des\\s+', 'De\\s+La\\s+', 'De\\s+', "D'", 'D’')
After restart, Calibre has translated parameter's value like this:
Code:
'fra': ('Le\\s+', 'La\\s+', "L'", 'L\xe2\x80\x99', 'Les\\s+', 'Un\\s+', 'Une\\s+', 'Des\\s+', 'De\\s+La\\s+', 'De\\s+', "D'", 'D\xe2\x80\x99')
But if my title is L’ordre des dieux, title sort will be the same instead of ordre des dieux, L’.

I can, of course, edit manualy title sort on metadatas form of the e-book, but the backgroud of the title sort field stays red.

I also have the same problem for authors name and series too.

I use Calibre 2.22 with french language on windows seven.
Language of my e-books are tagged as french on their metadatas.

Please, can anyone help me on sort feature and typographic apostrophe?

In addition to changing the tweak you also have to set the book's language to french in the edit metadata screen.

Thank you for your suggestion, I verified all my books but they are already setting with french language in metadata.
I also checked title_series_sorting parameter, but value is also set with library_order.

Looks like I forgot to do something but I have no idea about

Any suggestion about this issue?
Thanks in advance!

Same problem, while using Calbre 2.24. Found this perfect answer: use u'L’'. After restart, it becomes u'L\u2019' and it works. Two questions:
  1. do I remove the (original) u'L\xb4' ?
  2. what should i use for D’ ? I suppose u'D’'. Am I right?
