Firmware Update kindle k2i

Hi My kindle version is 2.3 I could not update it to 2.5.8 and it is 3 day I am trying to do it but according to some dissociation in forums I need updated first to 2.3.3 version then 2.3.4 then 2.5.2 and at last 2.58.8 But I could not find old updates versions. the links in there does not work (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86755) Does anyone have kindle k2i updates 2.3.3, 2.3.4, 2.5.2 (old updates)to share links for me?

Not quite sure that's actually accurate, but it can't hurt.

Just tweak the URL from the links in the K2 Software Update page.

I tried that but this did not work. So I thought if update version by version it may work

In amazon offical site it is onl 2.5.8 version not old versions exsist.

Just tweak the URL in the links, they should still have everything on their servers.

Or, call Customer Service. They may be able to email you the updates you need.

You do understand that Kindle firmware - whatever version - is owned by Amazon? You do understand this, correct?

Mobileread cannot offer or supply firmware that is copyrighted and owned by another company.

That is against the law.

Follow the suggestions in the thread.

Tweaking the url doesn't seem to work--I get an access denied error. Re you able to get it to work?

TL;DR: You won't be able to get the 2.3.x releases that way, I forgot they were OTA only (2.3 on the other hand, yes, but that doesn't help the OP).

EDIT: On the other hand, the minimal version that the 2.5.8 update supports *is* 2.3, so, as I said initially, the step-by-step isn't useful anyway, so you're not missing anything.

This fixed my problem I was able to tweak the url to get the 2.3 update for my K2I that was stuck on version 2.2.2 thanks for the advice
