Suggestions? Remote jungle action/adventure

I'm looking for fiction book recommendations for Action/Adventure in remote jungle/rainforest settings.

Books similar (in setting) to:

Temple, by Matthew Reilly
Burial Ground, by Michael McBride
The Codex, by Douglas Preston
Amazonia, by James Rollins
Excavation, by James Rollins
Congo, by Michael Crichton

Any suggestions? Thanks!

1) Pandora in the Congo, by Albert Sánchez-Piñol

2) Edgar Rice Burroughs = for 'old school' stuff

I enjoyed The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey by Candace Millard. Teddy was one very interesting person.

It's not fiction, but much is pure educated speculation.
